About the Designer
Celerie Kemble is an interior designer based in New York City, where she is a partner in Kemble Interiors, Inc., the firm her mother, Mimi Maddock McMakin, founded in Palm Beach in 1982. Her projects have been published widely, including her Manhattan apartment in House Beautiful in 2016; she has product collaborations with brands including Schumacher, Merida Meridian, and Maitland-Smith; and she has written two books: Celerie Kemble: To Your Taste and Black and White: And a Bit in Between.
Kristen Blood is an interior designer who has worked with Celerie Kemble since 2010. She has a BFA from Vanderbilt University and a Masters of Contemporary Design from Sotheby’s Institute of Art in London, and her work has been published in Architectural Digest and Homes & Gardens. She lives in Connecticut with her husband and daughter.
