Cops said three masked male suspects, one armed with an assault rifle and the two others with handguns, burst into the Piper Arms just before 10:40pm.
Supt. Paul MacIntyre of Organized Crime Enforcement said: “They walked into the bar. They produced their guns, and they opened fire indiscriminately on the people sitting inside the bar.”
“When you walk in, it’s kind of eerie. The drinks are still on the table. The food is still on the table. People’s purses, shoes are still in there.
“There’s a lot of damage to the walls. There’s glass walls that are shattered. There’s blood all over the floor.”
When emergency crews arrived at the scene, they found 12 individuals in their 20s to mid-50s suffering from various injuries.
An unbelievable six victims sustained gunshot wounds, with others hit with flying broken glass, MaciIntyre added.
Officers had to painstakingly watch footage from inside the venue and said they were horrified by what they saw.
MacIntyre said footage showed terrified pub-goers desperately ducking for cover and falling to the floor as gunfire erupted.
