USA Swimming Reverses Course as Chrissi Rawak Steps Down as CEO After Nine Days
USA Swimming has announced that Chrissi Rawak, who was appointed as President and Chief Executive Officer just nine days ago, will not be assuming the role due to unforeseen personal circumstances. The organization expressed confidence in its current leadership and strategic direction, with Shana Ferguson continuing as interim CEO. 
Background on Chrissi Rawak
Prior to her brief appointment at USA Swimming, Rawak served as the Director of Athletics, Community, and Campus Recreation at the University of Delaware since May 2016. During her tenure, the Blue Hens secured a national championship, 27 team conference championships, and 41 individual conference titles. In 2024, she was honored as Athletic Director of the Year by the National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics.
